Nextus provides advisory, editing, and supplemental data support. It does not guarantee manuscript acceptance or publication of the work. Nextus is solely responsible for the editorial suggestions, revisions, and data it provides.
Quality and acceptance
Nextus strive to improve the scientific quality and clarity of the manuscript through our editorial support; however, acceptance by the target journal ultimately depends on its editorial and peer-review process.
Authorship and ethics
All significant contributors should be recognized as co-authors to uphold ethical and academic standards, in accordance with COPE guidelines. Authors are responsible for ensuring proper attribution and adherence to ethical practices.
Third-party tools / software disclaimer
Nextus may use third-party software tools as part of the editing process. While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that such tools will detect all errors or issues.
Terms & Conditions
Revision requests and refund policy
Once the manuscript or project requirements are submitted and the editorial or project report has been delivered, any concerns or requests for revision must be raised within seven days. All editorial fees are non-refundable after the service has been provided.
Revision limitations
Revision requests must be limited to issues related to the editorial or project service provided. Major content changes or additions may incur additional fees.
Confidentiality and prior sharing
All manuscripts or project-related materials submitted to Nextus are treated as confidential and will not be disclosed to anyone other than the Nextus research scientists involved in the editing process. Nextus is not responsible for any material that authors may have shared with third parties prior to submission.
Intellectual property / copyright
Authors or organizations retain full ownership and copyright of their manuscripts or projects. Nextus will not use, reproduce, or distribute the content for any purpose other than providing the requested services.
Authorship policy
Authorship inclusion is based solely on substantial scientific contribution. Nextus scientists may participate as co-authors of the paper. Any legitimate research-related expenses incurred during the collaboration will be reimbursed upon publication. Collaborators will be acknowledged as authors only if they have made a significant contribution, such as experiment design, data analysis, or manuscript writing. This arrangement does not constitute payment for authorship.
Project Timeline & Service Duration
Timeline for manuscript support services
Authors receive prompt and professional support throughout the manuscript process. Pre-peer review reports are delivered within 3 working days, edited manuscripts within 7 working days, and content supplementation and support within 3 to 4 working weeks.
Timeline for research project services
Organizations can expect prompt and professional support throughout the research project process. A diagnostic and solution report will be delivered within approximately 7 working days, and an innovation design proposal within 2 working month (The exact date is specified in the contract).
Definition of a ‘Season’
A ‘season’ is defined by the research topic and the expected R&D timeframe, typically not exceeding 4 months (The exact date is specified in the contract). Periods beyond this may incur additional charges. The service corresponding to a ‘season’ will only be established after negotiation and execution of a valid contract.
